Kisumu, Kenya

A team led by John Odhiambo run a Community Project in Kisumu called Little Hopes Centre. The vision is to provide Early Childhood Development to pre-school aged children from the slum area where the project is located. When LightForce Director, George Ridley, visited in December 2010 he found a small building made out of corrugated sheeting on rented land. It was amazing to believe that such a good work was being done from this simple structure but the volunteer team behind the project was serving over 40 children daily.

LightForce made a commitment of just £350 which enabled John and the team to construct a much larger building with 3 classrooms before the children returned for the new school year in January 2011.
